In past few years, the education industry of India has seen massive investments in form of digital learning and distance learning courses. Traditionally distance learning programs were the form of correspondence courses where learners were given study material which they need to read and learn. Along with this, they are also allotted with assignments which they need to complete and submit. After doing this all, learners also need to pass an examination to get a correspondence course degree. But with changing times, correspondence courses have been taken over by the better post graduate distance education courses.

All thanks to the internet technology and the better education scenario that has managed to bring distance learning courses in the mainstream of education. Beating the quality of traditional class room set ups, distance learning courses have now become a popular choice among young India. Unlike conventional methods of education, distance learning programs are structured in informal settings thereby giving the learner a freedom of studying on their own terms. The advantages of flexible learning, freedom to choose test date as per learner’s convenience and low price structure has made distance learning programs a big hit among youngsters.
It would not be wrong to say that there are various reasons that play a major role in making distance education in India such a big hit. And among the so many reasons, some of the key factors that have led to its acceptance in society (both among the masses and businesses) as a whole are:

Believe it or not, but distance learning education can be a solution for scarcity of resources too. Thus, it is the most modest way of increasing the literacy rate of India.

Significant progress has been made to make it more instructional specific which can support the student system through better software designs. 
Overall it can be said that it is a form of updated education, training and development teaching program which has set standards for Indian education industry to compete on the international platform. And for sure the post graduatedistance education courses are surely going to seek much more acceptance than ever before.
